SKETCHBOOK-EXTRACT 33.(Poster colours).

Image
FREE HAND SKETCH OF TREES, RENDERED WITH POSTER COLOUR. Image: Woodland trees sketch. Poster colours are a versatile medium for sketching, offering vibrant hues and easy blending. However, their opaque nature can make fine details challenging to achieve.  Additionally, they may dry with a slightly different shade than when wet. Dilution with water can mitigate this, but may affect colour intensity.  Furthermore, their tendency to crack when applied thickly restricts layering. Despite these limitations, poster colours can create bold, expressive sketches with a unique, flat finish. To maximise their potential, artists should experiment with dilution levels and embrace their distinctive qualities to create impactful and dynamic sketches

SKETCHBOOK-EXTRACT 31. A POEM: (Eye of the Storm).

Image
EYE OF THE STORM Image 1: Eye of the Storm In the heart of chaos, calm and still, Lies the eye of the storm, serene and chill. Winds may rage and thunder roar, But within this centre, there's peace in store. Circling tempests, a fearsome display, Yet here within its midst, quiet holds sway. A moment in time, a pause, a form, Safe in the embrace of the eye of the storm.

SKETCHBOOK-EXTRACT 30. ( Layering Technique).

Image
SIMPLE LAYER TECHNIQUE The simple layer technique is one of the many processes in Design. It is a continuous drawing technique that requires modification at all stages. Firstly, a paper containing the outline of a site to be designed is drawn and then a tracing paper is placed above it. Image 1: Paper containing outline of plan. The Brief requires the designer to use the shape on the paper as a focal point for any design ideas and also considering other factors by the client such as;  no budget, five sensory elements should be used in the design etc. Image 2: A rough outline is made of all the clients request. Image 3: Showing first ideas   Then a tracing paper is placed on the plan and some rough ideas are drawn as the first steps. Image 4: shows a somewhat resolved design but not fully completed. After placing another tracing paper on image 3 the design is further modified and this may be continuous until a satisfactory design concept is achieved.  The process wa...
